About the hudson valley Bassmasters
- Hudson Valley Bassmasters Inc. is an award winning Domestic Not For Profit Corporation and is Nationally Sanctioned by the Bass Angler's Sportsmen Society (B.A.S.S.). Founded in 1996, its' energetic charter members built the club on the "5F Principals" of "Fishing, Friends, Family, Fun and Future". During its first year, Hudson Valley Bassmasters is proud to have organized New York's first and largest Junior Bassmaster Club, which is known as the Hudson Valley Junior Bassmasters (ages 11-18) and Hudson Valley Bassmaster Kids (ages "Almost 7" to 10). We are affliated with both New York and National B.A.S.S. Federation as well as the Federation of Dutchess County Fish and Game Clubs, Inc. You've read about us, now come experience the thrill of fishing with the Hudson Valley Bassmasters!!! Learn fishing and make new friends -- enjoy sportsmanship!!! Hudson Valley Bassmasters annually have approximately 10 draw type tournaments a year on local waters in Connecticut (Candlewood, Lillinonah, Highland Lake, Zoar) and in New York (Saratoga, Mahopac, Lake George, the Mohawk Erie Canal and of course, our own pond, the Hudson River). We sponsor a club team based on yearly standings which compete in the New York State Club Team 4 Day Event, which each year is on major waters in New York State. For further angling experience, the club is affiliated with the NYS B.A.S.S. Federation and eligible to participate in their statewide tournaments. These tournaments are in the Hudson River, Lake George, Lake Champlain, Cayuga Lake and other Finger Lakes, and the Great Lakes - do well and qualify for the New York State Team and fish B.A.S.S.'s Eastern Bassmaster Regionals on the way to the Bassmaster Classic.
